From freshly prepared salads and pasta to curry and our legendary burgers, The Lansdown menu boasts variety of tasty dishes, with as many of our ingredients as possible sourced locally, and prepared in our kitchen.

As well as our staple dishes, we like to mix our menu up with special dishes and seasonal additions, you can download a sample menu here to get a flavour of what’s on offer, or get in touch to see what’s cooking right now.

We produce a great deal of our food right here in the pub; our speciality breads are home baked, and we make all our own jams, relishes and chutneys. We have plans to do more, with scotch eggs, beer batter for fish and chips among the next items to made in our kitchen. Food is served until 10pm (Sundays 8:30pm).

Weekly specials have included “Italian Burger” – with mozzarella, bacon, rocket and aoli, also “Bavarian Burger” – with smoked cheese, bacon, sauerkraut and gherkins... perhaps there is a theme developing!

On Sundays, the Lansdown serves its legendary roasts, with a choice of roast beef, lamb shanks, roast chicken, pork loin or cashew and walnut roast. They are all served with a range of fresh vegetables, roast potatoes and you can always add Yorkshire pudding to any of them (although you get that with the beef and nut roast anyway) and during the autumn and winter season we have an optional side order of cauliflower cheese.

If you still have space we have a fantastic range of homemade puddings from sticky toffee pudding through to Eton Mess sundae and for those that can’t make up their mind a trio of puddings (small samples of 3 puddings on the menu).

Everything is freshly prepared and cooked in our kitchen, so we’re able to be flexible with dietary requirements – our lovely vegetarian nut roast is now vegan (we can also provide a vegan pudding option). We can also offer Gluten free gravy on request.

On Sunday evening, we serve a limited number of roasts (depending on how busy the day has been) as well as other choices and the burger board options from 5pm through to 8.30pm.

We recommend booking a table in advance for Sunday lunch, though we will of course try to accommodate you as best we can if you drop in.

Our menu changes frequently, so drop us a line and we can let you know what’s on offer.
